\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>With our RH Cloud sofa<\/a> finally delivered, we spent our recent weeks decking out our second-floor landing with a new coffee table<\/a>, sideboard<\/a>, storage shelf<\/a>, and even an ultra-short-throw projector<\/a>. The ceiling-mounted projector was aimed at displaying virtual workout classes from Yolo Barre<\/a>, but the project was more complex than I had hoped, requiring custom wiring in our attic crawl space and fashioning a ceiling mount out of a wall mount<\/a> and VESA brackets<\/a>. Melody focused on gathering supplies for her rat palace, while Westley managed to reach endgame in TOTK<\/a> and level 7 at Swim America<\/a>. At work, I attended mostly to our lab move to the top floor of Tupper Hall<\/a>. I thanked the team with a lunch<\/a> outing, followed by a gathering at my place to officially send off Lien, Mini, and Nicole over an Italian-themed spread of garlic bread, pasta, and tiramisu. Between grant<\/a> preparation and reviewing student posters, I squeezed in an overnight<\/a> trip to give grand rounds at Emory<\/a>, where my hosts showed me MLK’s birth home<\/a> and historical park<\/a>, treated me to fancy Italian<\/a>, and showcased their clinics, trainees, and research facilities. I enjoyed my view of the Rockies aboard my flight home to catch up on episodes of Shogun<\/a> and The Brothers Sun<\/a>, and to revisit Picnic Day<\/a> for lessons on lab animals and beef cows. New eats this month included banh mi pate muoi from Di Kitchen<\/a>, chicken-n-waffle sandwiches from Bruxie<\/a>, and XLBs from Journey to the Dumpling’s<\/a> new midtown location. The meals did not, however, make up for the torturous bowel prep for my first colonoscopy. Our first visit to our PCP in years reminded us of our age, and importantly, the need to spend more time with each other.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
