‘Twas the night before Christmas, and I had just realized how many movie trailers<\/a> I’ve missed over the past month. To my surprise, more than 40 trailers had been released since December began! Since I’m such a movie trailer fan, and with the Golden Globes<\/a> and Oscars<\/a> coming soon, I’ve decided to announce the winners of my very own Movie Trailer Awards for this month:<\/p>\n

THE STARS … <\/span><\/p>\n

Best choice for an actor: Johnny Depp<\/a> in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory<\/a> (Willy Wonka! Willy Wonka!)<\/p>\n

Worst choice for an actor: Ice Cube<\/a> in XXX – State of the Union<\/a> (I think Vin Diesel turned down the job)<\/p>\n

Best choice for an actress: Nicole Kidman<\/a> in Bewitched<\/a> (beware the spell of the blond…)<\/p>\n

Worst choice for an actress: Alicia Silverstone<\/a> in Beauty Shop<\/a> (wtf? is she supposed to be a sista?)<\/p>\n

Best choice for a couple: Owen Wilson<\/a> & Vince Vaughn<\/a> in Wedding Crashers<\/a> (Owen just can’t be alone)<\/p>\n

Worst choice for a couple: Brad Pitt<\/a> & Angelina Jolie<\/a> in Mr. and Mrs. Smith<\/a> (oh god)<\/p>\n

Best Hair: The Rock<\/a> in Be Cool<\/a> (if you touch the fro, you’ve got to go)<\/p>\n

Worst Hair: Colin Farrell<\/a> in The New World<\/a> (I would’ve chosen “Alexander” if it were a choice)<\/p>\n

… AND THE SHOW<\/span><\/p>\n

Most stylish trailer: Sin City<\/a> (the visuals for this is probably the most interesting I’ve seen this year)<\/p>\n

Most geekish trailer: Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy<\/a> (if you don’t know why, you’re not geeky enough)<\/p>\n

Most anticipated film likely to crumble: War of the Worlds<\/a> (Tom Cruise?! Why? Why???)<\/p>\n

Most anticipated film likely to deliver: Batman Begins<\/a> (Christian Bale & Chris Nolan will not fail me)<\/p>\n

Most unoriginal plot: Guess Who<\/a> (like “Meet the Parents” ‘cept the in-laws are black… even more cliche!)<\/p>\n

Most ridiculous plot: Sahara<\/a> (it’s about a treasure boat hidden in the desert – yes, a boat in the desert.)<\/p>\n
